what is leap?

LEAP (Lead Enrich Achieve Progress) is a parent-led organization supporting a rich well-rounded education for ALL children in the Lagunitas Community School.

We believe in accessibility, equity, fairness, opportunity and inclusivity. One of our main values is fostering and growing a strong community.

Through community-building and fundraising we call upon parents, families, teachers, residents and businesses to inspire lifelong learners and engaged global citizens.

  • RAISE MONEY to provide enrichment and opportunities beyond what the public school provides.

  • FUND SCHOOL PROGRAMS in alignment with our values.

  • DECIDE TOGETHER WHAT TO FUND in collaboration, with parents and teachers choosing the programs we want to offer.

  • SUPPORT ELECTIVES such as GARDEN, ART, MUSIC, SPANISH, MAKERS SPACE, FIELD TRIPS, TEACHER APPRECIATION and more.

  • Thanks to parent pledges, LEAP fully covers the cost of day field trips and contributes towards overnight expeditions, ensuring every student can participate.

  • LEAP isn’t just a board or a nonprofit—it’s all of us. Every parent and guardian in the Lagunitas School District is part of LEAP, along with community members who care about raising well-rounded kids. Parent-volunteer run, LEAP funds the programs our district and state don’t cover—like music, art, Spanish, garden, emotional literacy, and even field trips and overnight expeditions.

  • Yes! Donations to LEAP are tax deductible. We are a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Our Tax ID is 94-2778798.

  • Parent pledge is the main source of funding for LEAP programs. Other funds come from events, auctions, corporate and individual sponsors, and other fundraising events.

  • Absolutely. Anyone who wants to add enrichment to our kids education can donate!  Visit our donation page and choose an ongoing contribution or a one time donation. All donations to LEAP are tax deductible.
